Description:
Went out for a run. While on my run I noticed a dark substance being spilled into what appeared to me as a canal.

06/01/2017: The DTSC Imperial CUPA has forwarded this complaint to the Ag Commissioner's Office. Response from the Ag Commissioner's Office: "My staff spoke to representatives from Green Touch a few days ago. They reported that it was a fertilizer treatment that is applied to the field through irrigation water (a common practice). They reported that this treatment was comprised of humic acid and biologicals. These treatments typically improve the vigor of the crop and the condition of the soil. As I had mentioned in my last email, we do not have any jurisdiction over fertilizer treatments. Based on the images and the statement from Green Touch, I have no reason to suspect any violations occurred as a part of this application."
